Two Baltimore County skilled nursing facilities, Westgate Hills Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center and Orchard Hill Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, have partnered with Comprehensive Rehab Consultants (CRC) to enhance their physiatry services. The collaboration brings Mackenzie Murray, a Certified Physician Assistant with significant experience in geriatrics and internal medicine, to work with the two facilities. Physiatry services, also known as physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R), aim to help patients avoid surgery by blending pain treatments and physical therapy while managing medical conditions. The approach at Westgate Hills and Orchard Hill focuses on designing personalized rehabilitation therapies for patients. In addition to in-facility services, Comprehensive Rehab Consultants provide support after discharge, helping patients with equipment, medication, and follow-up appointments. This partnership aims to promote positive outcomes for patients and improve the overall quality of care in these skilled nursing facilities.
