Chief Executive Officer
Barry Munk, Chief Executive Officer of Marquis Health Consulting Services, is responsible for overseeing all facets of the company and its support of client facilities. He maintains a pulse on facility operations, including census, financials, referral processes, and compliance. In all that he does, he advances Marquis’ ideologies of clinical excellence, resident experience, and the highest level of care.
Known for his innovative approach and commitment to embracing technology’s central role in healthcare, Barry has developed Marquis’ proprietary data and prescriptive analytics product, as well as many operational applications to streamline and enhance efficiency, compliance, and profitability. Barry leads and inspires his colleagues and facility care teams; his leadership instills a focus on excellence in service and care for all residents.
Barry, who is a licensed nursing home administrator, has a proven executive management track record having led Marquis in both regional and corporate operational roles for over a decade. Well-respected throughout the industry, he is on the boards of numerous healthcare associations.
Chief Human Resources Officer
Adam Goldman brings 25+ years of leadership in senior living as an administrator and regional operator. His passion for customer service excellence and dignity in healthcare through ensuring employees feel respected, appreciated, and supported, drives him in his role as Chief Human Resources Officer. At Marquis, Adam is responsible for employee recruitment and retention efforts, all HR policies, procedures, and support of client facility HR Managers, Administrators, and Department Heads for the overall employee experience. He is a licensed nursing home administrator and an SHRM-Senior Certified Professional.
Prior to being named Chief HR Officer, Adam served as Marquis’ Regional Director of Operations, Massachusetts Division. Previously, he led the skilled and supportive living services at North Hill Needham CCRC establishing ‘small house’ nursing and assisted living communities on the campus.
An engaged and accomplished industry leader, Adam is the recipient of healthcare leadership awards and speaks passionately with audiences including at the LeadingAge National Convention.
Division President
Michael Smith, Division President of Marquis Health Consulting Services, oversees the Mid-Atlantic Region of the highly skilled and vision-driven nursing home consulting company. A registered nurse and licensed nursing home administrator, Mike brings more than 25 years of clinical and operational expertise in the long-term care industry to this key senior leadership role. He is skilled in all aspects of operations, physician relations, specialty program development, and team building, as well as business development, acquisitions, and risk management.
Prior to joining the Marquis team in 2015, Mike served as a Risk Management Consultant with The Graham Company. Previously, he was the Senior Director of Operations for Guardian Elder Care, where he oversaw 13 properties in northeastern Pennsylvania and was responsible for all aspects of operations, leading over 1000 employees.
Division President: New England
Sharon Donaghue, Division President, Operations, is a results-driven healthcare executive with 25+ years of successful experience in post-acute care. Her specializations include operations management, clinical oversight and clinical reimbursement. A highly motivated problem solver, Sharon is practiced in developing and implementing effective strategies to increase market share, revenue and client base.
At Marquis, Sharon has a consistent record of forging strong relationships, managing, training and coaching diverse groups of people; she is known for leveraging each team member’s strengths to ensure successful outcomes and long-term employee and client satisfaction. A sought-after speaker on industry matters, Sharon is often tapped for national public forums. She holds degrees in nursing and psychology, and is a member of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology.
VP of Operations, New England
Nathan Norton, Vice President of Operations, New England Region, is an experienced operational specialist. His skills span management oversight, labor management, staffing and team building, as well as business development, sales and analysis. He brings demonstrated success within the skilled nursing, hospital and healthcare industries to this leadership role at Marquis Health Consulting Services.
Reflective of Marquis’ belief in recognizing talent and promoting from within, Nathan previously served as the firm’s Regional Director of Operations for New England. Prior to joining the Marquis team, he served in high-level leadership roles with two long-term care companies.
Nathan earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Texas, Arlington, and both his master’s in project and operational management and Global MBA degrees from Southern New Hampshire University. He serves on the board of the Rhode Island Health Care Association.
VP of Operations, Senior Living Division, Mid-Atlantic Region
Alan has a proven track record of success in improving profitability, fostering positive employee culture, and ensuring the highest standards of compliance to prioritize resident/patient outcomes and customer satisfaction. With a keen focus on driving efficiency and delivering exceptional resident care, Alan is dedicated to fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement. He has played a significant role in Marquis’ expansion within New Jersey.
VP of Marketing & Business Development
Jennifer Hertzog, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, Mid-Atlantic Region, is an accomplished sales management executive with demonstrated results in transition management, network development, new programming launch, and overall census development. At Marquis Health Consulting Services, she has played a significant role in the strategic growth and post-acute alignment strategies of the vision-driven skilled nursing consulting company, having been in her position since 2014.
Jennifer’s career in long-term care sales spans more than 20 years. Prior to joining Marquis, she served in a divisional sales leadership role for 12 years with Extendicare Health Services, a large national multi-provider. At Extendicare, she led and directed the business and census development strategy for a 52-center territory. Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Policy Administration from Pennsylvania State University in 2000.
VP of Digital & Social Media
Natalie Adis, Vice President Digital & Social Media, leads the strategic planning, development, and execution of all full-cycle digital marketing initiatives, plans, and campaigns for Marquis and oversees the digital marketing support of its client facilities. A talented digital strategist with 10+ years of experience, she has been instrumental in the brand awareness and growth of Marquis, building its online presence from the ground up.
Natalie’s insightful leadership drives the creation of top-of-mind content across digital channels – from websites to social media platforms and more – to engage and build trust with stakeholders; that includes an emphasis on educating residents, their families, and community members on resources and rights regarding long-term care and senior housing. Her responsibilities also include leading the website creation for Marquis’ company site and that of all of its client facilities, and she developed Marquis’ Online Reputation Management Process, Protocol and Procedures model, which is implemented by clients. Previously, she served as Director of Digital Marketing & Analytics.
Natalie earned her Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts degrees from Georgian Court University and is currently pursuing a graduate-level certificate in Customer Experience at Seton Hall University. Dedicated to giving back, Natalie serves on advisory boards at Georgian Court and Seton Hall; she is a member of the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of NJ.

Marlene Sheehy, Vice President of Strategic Development at Marquis Health Consulting Services, is an experienced healthcare executive and registered nurse with a demonstrated history of successful change management, business development and service line expansion in both the hospital and healthcare industries. A proven leader in business and strategic development focused on improving the patient experience while enhancing operational efficiency, Marlene drives change through communication, collaboration and her deep understanding of post-acute care.
Marlene’s leadership helps support Marquis client facilities in developing strategic partnerships with leading healthcare providers in their region, enabling clients to meet and exceed their quality and operational goals. Previously, Marlene held leadership positions at Tufts Health Plan, including serving as Manager of Integrated Care Management, Senior Manager of Inpatient Services and Team Manager of Medicare Preferred; she also was the Director of Utilization Management at Optum. Marlene earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell.
VP, Plant Operations
VP of Plant Operations: New England
Glenn Cote brings more than 30 years of experience in facility safety and security, vendor relations, project management and capital budget planning to his role as Vice President of Plant Operations, New England, at Marquis Health Consulting Services. Passionate about resident safety, Glenn has significant expertise in life safety regulations and environmental systems, and helps drive the continued professional training of plant operations teams at Marquis-supported facilities in New England.
Prior to joining Marquis, Glenn held numerous leadership positions for Kentucky-based Kindred Healthcare. He earned his Certified Plant Maintenance Manager license from the Association for Facilities Engineering and his HVAC Certification from Northeastern University; Glenn is a member of the National Fire Protection Association.
VP of Dining
Anthony Ventrella brings decades of food service and hospitality experience to his role as Marquis’ Vice President of Dining Room Services, New England and Mid-Atlantic Regions. A Certified Food Manager and Certified Dietary Manager-Food Protection Professional, Anthony oversees the Dining Services and Nutrition Departments at Marquis client centers. His food service expertise and leadership help ensure that Marquis clients are following all regulatory food safety guidelines and providing well-balanced meals that are both nutritious and appealing to residents. Creative, revolving menus complement each center’s hospitality-focused, guest services-centered approach.
Previously, Anthony served as the Regional Food Service Director for CareOne Management LLC and as a Production Manager for Flying Food Group and Compass Group; he was also a teaching assistant for culinary classes at Morris County Community College. Anthony earned his degree at the State University of New York, Westchester Community College.
VP of Life Enrichment: Mid-Atlantic
Ricardo “Ricky” Pena, Vice President of Life Enrichment, brings more than 20 years of experience to his role in overseeing expansive life enrichment activities at Marquis client centers across the Mid-Atlantic Region. Known for his leadership, creative insight and passion for pairing fun and wellness, Ricky is instrumental in the conceptualization and development of programs aimed at boosting the physical and mental health of skilled nursing and assisted living residents, and further enhancing each center’s sense of community. Innovative life enrichment programs range from tech-centered initiatives, such as virtual-reality travel and podcast programs, to samba dance fitness and music therapy, to horticulture therapy, among many others.
As VP of Life Enrichment, Ricky oversees the onboarding and continual training of client communities’ life enrichment directors and spearheads the piloting of new initiatives. Dedicated to his profession, Ricky is a NCCDP-Certified Dementia Practitioner, Certified Montessori Dementia Care Professional, Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer, and Virtual Dementia Tour-Certified Trainer.
Prior to joining Marquis, Ricky served in leadership roles within the recreational therapy departments at Family of Caring Healthcare System and Windsor Healthcare, and he also established a NYC-based music and theatre arts school. Ricky earned degrees in music education and music therapy from Queens College, City University of New York.
VP of Life Enrichment: New England
Seana Hall, Vice President of Life Enrichment, New England Region, oversees the planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of life enrichment programming at Marquis’ client centers in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Her creative vision, industry expertise and leadership help to ensure that the centers’ individual Life Enrichment Departments provide an extensive range of engaging, person-centered activities for residents. She is an NCCAP-Certified Activity Director and NCCDP-Certified Dementia Practitioner.
Seana also oversees the implementation of ongoing education for life enrichment team members, specific to enhancing the overall quality of life for residents with cognitive impairment, especially those with dementia diagnoses, including Alzheimer’s. Previously, Seana served as Admissions & Marketing Director and Director of Recreation & Activities at Briarwood Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, a Marquis client facility where she was honored as “Employee of the Year.” She earned a bachelor’s degree in Recreational Management and Aquatic Specialization from Salem State University.
