MANCHESTER-BY-THE-SEA — Loneliness is a condition faced by many people at different times.
But it can be particularly acute for some senior citizens.
With that reality in mind, Manchester Essex Regional High School junior Jack Cummins, 16, initiated an effort to reach out and connect with seniors across the North Shore.
Cummins created the “iconnect2U” program, meeting with seniors and getting to know them, then creating individualized posters for each highlighting special moments in their lives during the past two years.
In fact, Jack Cummins is becoming a regular fixture at Blueberry Hill Rehabilitation in Beverly, Medford Rehabilitation in Medford, Brentwood Rehabilitation in Danvers and the memory care unit at The Residences at Riverbend in Ipswich.
